Now one does not have to travel all the way to Hawaii or take Route 66 to be able to enjoy kite surfing in the perfect spot. Mallorca offers all sea and adrenaline lovers the best conditions for practicing this new extreme sport.

Kite surfing, or fly surfing, is a sport that attracts new enthusiasts every day. We do warn you though, once you have tried it, you won’t be able to stop - adrenaline is highly addictive.

Practical advice

If you have never practiced kite surfing, you will first have to take a course to learn how to handle the kite and board. You will find “kite” instructors on various beaches, such as Barcarès in Pollença. The courses include all the materials you will need to surf: a harness, kite and board.

Remember that all sports that depend on weather conditions are dangerous. If you have any questions or concerns, always ask someone more experienced in this beach activity and never surf alone!
