From this village we head in the direction of Son Servera on the MA-4023 and on the MA-V-403-6. Once we arrive in the village, we can visit the church Sant Joan Bautista, which was built on a defensive tower and the “cases de possessió” in Ca s’Hereu, an interesting example for the traditional architecture of this village. We now take the MA-4031 towards Artá, where the walled enclosure of San Salvador and its gothic church are worth a visit. We take the MA-3333 on a precious route towards the hermitage of Betlem, which was built on top of the ruins of an old Arabic farmstead, offe- ring fantastic views on Alcudia bay. On our way back to Artà we take the MA-15 towards Capdepera and from there continue towards the lighthouse with the same name. This is Mallorca’s most Eastern spot and on clear days one can see Menorca. In Capdepera it is highly recommended to visit the castle and Rutas Cicloturísticas de Mallorca the old city centre. In May, a very interesting medieval fair takes place here. Now we continue on the MA-4040 towards Son Servera and after having reached the top of the Coll dels Vidriers (an alternative route in order to avoid the tunnel) we turn left to the Port Nou and the bays Cala Bona and Cala Millor. Finally we reach Porto Cristo on the MA-4023, where the famous caves Coves del Drach are located. We leave the village via the MA-4014 and the MA-4015 towards Manacor (an alternative route to Son Mas de la Marina) and then reach our point of departure.
