Verderol oil is the juice from olives that grow just a few kilometres from Palma. The Olive trees are cared for using environmental friendly techniques and produce a delicious crop, an extra virgin olive oil with Majorcan designation of origin.
Extra virgin olive oil is incredibly healthy: no chemical or thermal processes are involved when producing it and all the natural components and vitamins of the olive juice are preserved. Verderol is extracted daily, it takes seven kilos of olives to make one litre of oil.
The trees are pruned by hand and the cuttings are shred on site, leaving organic material for the ground. The olive trees are treated with authorised ecological products to prevent parasitical fungi. Each tree is protected from the olive fly with its own traps.
Weeds are kept at bay by clearing the land with the help of geese that graze in the grove. The fertilizer is organic and the olives are collected by hand.
The result is shiny green olive oil with an intense, pleasurable taste.
Thanks to the cultivation of these thousand year old olive trees, these farms boast an interesting autochthonous fauna.
Agriculture and preservation go hand in hand in these plantations.
