The “ball de bot”, also known as traditional or folk dance in Mallorca, is made up of a series of dances.

It is very commonly referred to by the name of one of the dances which comprise it. These are: the bolero (this month’s report), the jota, the mateixa, the fandango, the “balanguera” and the “ball de pages” (peasant dance).
